Canada Post Strike - what to expect

Canada Post Strike - what to expect

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began a nation wide strike today (November 15, 2024), as a result Canada Post has shut down operations and is not delivering items in transit or receiving new items. While the strike will impact our ability to fulfill some orders, we are looking into alternative options should the strike continue past the weekend.

Delivery options during Canada Post Strike

Canada Post shipping has temporarily been removed from our website. Customers locate in Vancouver and Metro Vancouver are encouraged to use the Local Delivery options. Shipping and local delivery services are based on postal code and only show up for customers within the covered delivery zones. If neither Local Delivery nor Wyngit Delivery show up during check out, you're delivery address is not eligible for local delivery.

All customers outside the Vancouver area will have to select a shipping quote. If you request a quote PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT until you have received an updated invoice. As this will be done manually, please be patient, this can only be done during our business hours and may involve sourcing multiple shippers to find the best rate.

FREE SHIPPING for Local Delivery and Wyngit remain the same. Please consult our shipping page for details. Unfortunately, as our shipping costs will vary broadly, we are unable to guarantee free shipping on orders over $100 until Canada Post service resumes. That being said, we will look at each order individually and on orders over $100 if we can't provide free shipping, we will adjust the shipping accordingly. For instance if the courier cost is $40 we would reduce it by what we'd expect to pay to Canada Post for the same order.

Most customers received their orders placed prior to the strike. Those with items in transit have been contacted by our staff.
